I am Fiona (aged 9)

I am an artist and I likes computers
I wonder if my wishes will come true
I hear birds chirping or singing in the garden
I see pretty flowers and plants in the plant store
I want to be an artist or a designer
I am an artist and I likes computers

I pretend to be an artist
I feel the soft fur of animals
I touch books that are waiting to be read
I worry about me and my friends
I cry when I am sad
I am an artist and I like computers

I understand the virtues
I say respect is an important virtue
I dream about my wishes
I try to do stuff I've never tried before
I hope my wishes come true
I am an artist and I likes computers

Welcome to Learning Zone 12

Kia Ora, Tena Koutou,
Thank you for dropping in to read our Blog. We are a Year 3 & 4 Class at a brand new school of the future. Mission Heights School is situated at 103 Jeffs Road in Flatbush, Auckland, New Zealand. It is the coolest school in New Zealand which opened on 4th February 2009 and is leading the way in 21st century teaching and learning.

Learning Zone 12 is made up of 23 enthusiastic learners who come from many countries such as New Zealand, China, Korea, Thailand, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Fiji, South Africa, Australia, England, Italy, Tonga and Samoa. Since 15th September we have a new teacher, Mrs Kree Raman, who previously taught at Kelvin Road School in Papakura and Eastdene Combined School in South Africa. Our teacher inspires us to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.

We hope you enjoy reading our posts and viewing our photos. Our top favourite is the *Delicious Bookmarks* which has cool educational links such as online maths games, spelling games and storybooks.
