I am Akaash (aged 8)

I am a boy who enjoys playing computer-games
I wonder what the future holds
I hear the crashing noise of my computer games
I see the spaceships crashing in my computer game
I want to travel around the world
I am a boy who enjoys playing computer-games

I pretend to have a lot of money
I feel the wind rushing through my hair
I touch the bark on a tree
I worry about my family
I cry when people hurt me
I am a boy who enjoys playing computer-games

I understand the class treaty
I say "sh" to people who disturb the class
I dream about travelling around the world
I try to be the best in school
I hope to travel around the world someday
I am a boy who enjoys playing computer-games

Welcome to Learning Zone 12

Kia Ora, Tena Koutou,
Thank you for dropping in to read our Blog. We are a Year 3 & 4 Class at a brand new school of the future. Mission Heights School is situated at 103 Jeffs Road in Flatbush, Auckland, New Zealand. It is the coolest school in New Zealand which opened on 4th February 2009 and is leading the way in 21st century teaching and learning.

Learning Zone 12 is made up of 23 enthusiastic learners who come from many countries such as New Zealand, China, Korea, Thailand, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Fiji, South Africa, Australia, England, Italy, Tonga and Samoa. Since 15th September we have a new teacher, Mrs Kree Raman, who previously taught at Kelvin Road School in Papakura and Eastdene Combined School in South Africa. Our teacher inspires us to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.

We hope you enjoy reading our posts and viewing our photos. Our top favourite is the *Delicious Bookmarks* which has cool educational links such as online maths games, spelling games and storybooks.
